Service Process

Every strap fitting at DeChronos follows the same careful process:

1. Strap selection. Bring your own or choose from our range. We measure lug width accurately (between horns) to ensure a proper fit.
2. Spring bar removal. We use proper forked spring bar tools to lift the bars without scratching the lugs or damaging the strap holes.
3. Lug inspection. Every strap change includes a quick lug and spring bar inspection — we flag wear, corrosion, or damage that needs attention.
4. Strap fitting. New spring bars (where appropriate, premium-quality Swiss-made) and the strap is fitted carefully.
5. Wrist-size adjustment. For metal bracelets, we remove or add links to fit your wrist precisely. We never oversize or undersize a bracelet.
6. Deployment clasp and buckle installation. Standard pin buckles, deployant clasps, and friction-fit clasps all fitted and tested.
7. Quality check. Final inspection of strap fit, buckle alignment, spring bar security, and overall comfort before handover.

If you’re bringing a luxury watch for a strap change, we recommend also considering a gasket and water-resistance check — every strap change is a good opportunity to verify seals, especially on dive watches.

Quote includes fitting, new spring bars where applicable, and a 90-day fitting workmanship warranty.
