What Is a Watch Overhaul?
A watch overhaul is the most comprehensive service your timepiece can receive. It involves:
- Complete disassembly of the movement
- Ultrasonic cleaning of all parts
- Inspection for wear or damage
- Lubrication with specialist oils
- Reassembly and regulation
- Water resistance testing
- Final quality control over 48-72 hours
Recommended Frequency
- Mechanical watches: Every 3-5 years
- Quartz watches: Every 5-7 years (or when accuracy drops)
